Turkey Pardoned By Trump Can Now Be Compelled To Testify Against Him

Drumstick, formerly known as Federal Inmate TB8080.

Drumstick — a turkey pardoned by President Trump on Thanksgiving Day — could be compelled to testify against the president in upcoming Congressional inquiries.

“By accepting the president’s pardon, Drumstick is no longer in legal jeopardy at the federal level and cannot claim Fifth Amendment privileges in that realm,” says Bill Hibbs, Chief Counsel for Butterball. “If I were [Drumstick] I’d be finding a lawyer.”

Though saved from the fate that befell his brother Mash (who did not receive a pardon and was cooked at 350°F before being eaten by a family with six sons and then partially thrown in the trash), Drumstick, 3, could still face proverbial hot water should Congress call him to testify.

“What did Mr. Drumstick know and when did he know it?” said Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) Tuesday. “We fully intend to bring all relevant witnesses to testify about the corruption wrought by this administration. Gobble gobble, bitch.”
