Target Pulls “I’m With Covid” Shirt After Outcry

The recalled design.

“It was intended to be humorous, like our shirt where Baby Yoda™ is working in an office,” said Target spokesperson Erin Taylor in a statement issued shortly after a controversial design was pulled from the retailer’s online shop. Only a few dozen T-shirts printed with the words “I’m With Covid” were sold.

The statement continued:

“We understand that this design unfortunately made light of the pandemic and have pulled the item from our online and retail locations. We will be replacing it with a streamlined design that does not point fingers in this dangerous time.”

The proposed redesign.
