Ghislaine Maxwell Removed From NBA2K21 After Outcry

--

Alleged Epstein associate and criminal Ghislaine Maxwell, 5’ 4”, has been removed from the upcoming edition of NBA2k, a popular video game.

“We started to see people speaking out immediately,” says Tom Smith, President of 2k Games, which produces the franchise. “Even from the planning stages, it was a universal, you know, ‘why are you doing this?’”

After immediate widespread criticism of the move, Smith defended the decision. “It was a different time,” he said, of five months ago. “We wouldn’t [put her in the game] today.”

Sources indicate Maxwell was included as an unlockable character who could join the player’s team once located. “There was a whole mini-game where you’re an FBI agent and you look at a map,” says a studio source. “She played point guard.”

The socialite, facing numerous charges brought by the Public Corruption Unit of the Southern District of New York, faces decades in prison if found guilty.

Smith says press attention, however negative, could help sales. “Everyone kept saying it was a terrible idea, and that [Maxwell] was a contemptible and evil predator who could not possibly play both ends of the floor in today’s league.”

A petition to remove Maxwell from the game has reached approximately fifteen million signatures. The company plans to replace her with another “less controversial” but still “out-of-the box” character.

“We’ve learned our lesson,” says Smith. “We’re looking at Christoper Columbus.”
