A Letter of Recommendation For Ukraine’s NATO Application, From A Guy Who Knows Nothing About Either
Dear Mr. NATO:
I am good friends with Ukraine and am hereby writing to let you know Ukraine would be an astoundingly good member of NATO.
I recommend you let Ukraine join.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines NATO as “a collective security agreement” among “member states”. Honestly, Ukraine would be such a good choice for that. I have been to Ukraine several times for real and it was always very safe and secure, furthermore the airport wifi was strong and that is something they could bring to the table immediately as an ally. And I know Ukraine loves making agreements, as does your organization, so that is one commonality right there.
Ukraine is a strong and icy nation, situated along some pretty tough territory, as you and I both know. I believe it is cold year around, though some would beg to differ and I would respect those opinions as well. Ukraine is smallish/large by area, and home to numerous types of foxes, wolves and scary birds. NATO, I’m sure, could make use of those birds for security missions. And I know Ukraine would love to help out. I just asked them and they said they’d love that.
